Neck Sense Support

Neck Sense helps you maintain healthy posture by monitoring your head position using AirPods motion sensors.

Requirements

• AirPods Pro (1st or 2nd generation), AirPods Max, or AirPods (3rd generation)
• iOS 14.0 or later / macOS 10.15 or later
• Bluetooth connection

Getting Started

1. Connect your supported AirPods to your device
2. Put AirPods in your ears
3. Launch Neck Sense
4. Tap "Start Monitoring" when AirPods are detected
5. The app will track your head angle and alert you when posture is poor

Free vs Premium

Free Tier:

• 3 sessions per day
• 30 minutes per session
• Fixed settings (25° threshold, 15s interval)

Premium Tier:

• Unlimited daily sessions
• Unlimited session duration
• Customizable threshold (15-40°)
• Customizable alert interval (5-40s)

Common Questions

Why isn't my app detecting my AirPods?

Make sure your AirPods are connected via Bluetooth, in your ears (not in the case), and are a supported model (Pro, Max, or 3rd generation). Try disconnecting and reconnecting, or restarting the app.

What does "AirPods Idle" mean?

This means your AirPods are connected but not actively sending motion data. Make sure they're properly in your ears. The status should change to "Tracking Active" within a few seconds.

How do I adjust the posture threshold?

Premium users can adjust the threshold and alert interval in Settings (gear icon). Free tier users have fixed settings.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Install Neck Sense on your new device, open Settings, tap "Upgrade to Premium", then tap "Restore Purchases". Your subscription will be restored if you're signed in with the same Apple ID.

How do I cancel my subscription?

On iPhone: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Neck Sense → Cancel Subscription
On Mac: App Store → Account → Manage Subscriptions

Troubleshooting

App not detecting my posture:

• Ensure AirPods are in your ears, not in the case
• Check that status shows "Tracking Active"
• Try removing and reinserting your AirPods
• Restart the app

Alerts not appearing:

• Check that notifications are enabled for Neck Sense in iOS Settings
• Ensure you have bad posture for longer than the alert interval
• Check if Do Not Disturb is enabled

Privacy

Neck Sense processes all motion data locally on your device. We do not collect or store your posture data. The only data collected is purchase information (via Apple and Adapty) for subscription management, and optional anonymous crash reports.
