Privacy Summary: NeckSense processes motion data from your AirPods locally on your device to monitor your posture. We do not collect, store, or transmit your posture data to any servers. Your subscription information is managed by Apple and Adapty for payment processing only.

This Privacy Policy explains how NeckSense ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Motion Data
The App accesses motion sensor data from your AirPods to track head position and posture. This data:
- Is processed locally on your device only
- Is not stored beyond the current monitoring session
- Is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties
- Is deleted when you stop a monitoring session
2.2 Usage Settings
The App stores your preferences locally on your device, including:
- Posture threshold settings
- Notification interval preferences
- Session count tracking (for free tier limits)
- App display preferences
This data is stored using Apple's UserDefaults and remains on your device only.
2.3 Subscription Information
When you purchase a subscription, the following information is processed:
- Apple ID and purchase receipt (managed by Apple)
- Subscription status and entitlements (managed by Adapty)
- Transaction validation data (processed by Adapty)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:
- Motion Data: To detect your head posture and send notifications when poor posture is detected
- Settings Data: To remember your preferences and enforce free tier limitations
- Subscription Data: To verify your subscription status and unlock premium features
4. Third-Party Services
4.1 Apple App Store
All in-app purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Apple's privacy policy governs their collection and use of your payment information. We do not have access to your payment card details.

4.2 Adapty
We use Adapty to manage subscription verification and entitlements. Adapty processes:
- Your Apple ID purchase receipt
- Subscription status and expiration dates
- Anonymous device identifiers
Adapty does not have access to your motion data or personal posture information.

5. Data Storage and Security
We take data security seriously:
- Local Processing: All motion data is processed locally on your device using Apple's CoreMotion framework
- No Cloud Storage: We do not store any of your posture data in the cloud or on our servers
- Secure Communication: All communication with Adapty uses encrypted HTTPS connections
- Minimal Data Collection: We only collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service
6. Data Retention
- Motion Data: Deleted immediately when monitoring session ends
- Settings Data: Retained on your device until you delete the App
- Subscription Data: Retained by Apple and Adapty as per their policies
7. Your Rights and Choices
7.1 Data Access
Since we do not collect or store your posture data on our servers, there is no centralized data to access. All your data is on your device.
7.2 Data Deletion
You can delete all App data by:
- Uninstalling the App from your device
- This will delete all locally stored settings and preferences
7.3 Motion Data Access Control
You can revoke the App's access to motion data at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness.
7.4 Subscription Management
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID Account Settings.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
9. International Users
The App is available worldwide. If you use the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your subscription information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where Apple and Adapty operate.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- Posting a notice in the App
- Providing other appropriate notice as required by law
Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
